A Guide for Teachers

Welcome to 99math! We’re thrilled to have you join our growing community of educators. Let’s make math practice fun, engaging, and effective for your students!


What is 99math?


99math is a math fact practice platform designed for 1st-8th grade teachers to boost students' math skills while saving teachers' time.


Why choose 99math?

  • Quick setup: It takes just 1 minute to create a game.

  • Choose from 1000 math skills: Students only need to enter the code displayed on your screen to join the game.

  • Actionable insights: Teachers get detailed reports to track progress and identify areas needing improvement.


How to play 99math as a teacher?


If you haven’t already, create your free teacher account on 99math.com.


Once signed in, you’ll see your Teacher Dashboard. Click Start now on your dashboard to access the School Practice game selection view.





Create a game


  1. Choose a topic for your students to practice. Topics are carefully designed and verified by math teachers to ensure quality.




  1. Set the time limit and number of problems per round for a tailored and engaging practice session.



  1. When ready, click the Play LIVE button.


  1. A unique game code will appear on your screen. Share this code or link with your students, or display your screen for them to follow on-screen instructions.



  1. Students visit join.99math.com on their devices and enter the game code.


They can use their first name, a nickname, or any identifier you can recognize. Students then choose an avatar, and they’re ready to play!


Additional Features for Teachers


After the first Live game with your students, you can try out the Home practice (either in class or at home) and setting the goal for the class.


  1. Add Your Class


Upload your class from Google or Clever, or add it manually to track student progress effortlessly.



  1. Set Class Goals


Encourage consistent practice by setting weekly goals for your class. Define how many minutes students should spend practicing at home.



  1. Home Practice Assignments


After your first Live game, explore the Home Practice mode. You can:

  • Choose one or more skills for students to practice.

  • Set a deadline or allow assignments to remain active for up to two weeks.

  • Share the game link or code directly with students.




  1. Post-Game Insights


After each game, view a detailed Game Report, which provides:

  • Individual and class performance data.

  • Areas where students excelled or struggled.

  • Automatically generated insights to help you tailor your teaching strategies.
